About Spinning Wheels

The Golding Glory™ is a high performance production spinning wheel. The 18″ drive wheel is surrounded by a machined iron ring, giving it excellent momentum. Golding Glory™ has a true double treadle drive system, with light weight precision balanced flyers and bobbins, and a full range of ratios up to 25:1. The Glory has exceptionally smooth, quiet action, and is very easy to use.

    Features Include:

    • “Castle” type wheel with Scotch Tension
    • Machined iron ring with a black phosphate finish surrounds the wheel for a signature Golding spinning experience.
    • True Double Treadle drive system with ergonomic, and easy treadling.
    • Interchangeable, Dual Plane, Dynamically Balanced Flyers with super light carbon fiber arms for very smooth spinning.
    • Includes 3 standard size bobbins.  Standard size bobbin holds 4 oz of fiber, Jumbo size bobbin holds 8 oz of fiber  (Jumbo Bobbins and Jumbo Flyers available separately). Bobbins are designed for sensitive tensioning.
    • Bobbins and flyers are compatible with all of our other wheels
    • 4 easy to change ratios of 7.5, 11.5, 17.5, and 25:1
    • 16 sealed ball bearings, and 2 self lubricating ball bearings. You’ll never need to oil parts
    • Heel/toe double treadles that are wide and comfortable
    • Removable Flyer Head (reduces over all height to 26″, making for easy car transport)
